It was in the year 1830 that our Blessed Mother gave to the world her own Medal the Immaculate Conception. 100 years later, Fr. Maximilian Kolbe got permission from his superiors to spread this medal in the Orient.
Upon arriving to Nagasaki, Japan the friars immediately fostered devotion to the Miraculous Medal and with the permission of the local Catholic bishop, they began to build their missionary house which they would call, Garden of the Immaculata.
Here are is a quality medal with a beautiful design that really captures the graces that come to us through Our Lady's immaculate hands. Also included is a small star that is used to divide the words of the Immaculata prayers on the front. We like to think of that star represents the Immaculata as the Star of the Sea & New Evangelization.
